| Growing good horses, as well as good cattle, and Godly grandchildren is a tradition
and a way of life for our family.
We try to be good stewards of the blessings God has placed in our trust.
My wife's granddaddy, Doyle E Carlton Sr, who was born in 1885 said, "A man needs two lifetimes to be in the cattle business.
One life to get it like you want it, and another to enjoy it".
I agree with him, and feel the same way about the horse business.
Granddaddy Carlton also said, "When I think about what I get and then think about what I deserve, I'm sure glad that I don't get what I deserve". He came from a family who had a great love for good horses and good cattle. I pray the tradition carries on. |
